Christmas makes you look outside of yourself for a moment, encouraging you to consider others.
That’s what I love most about it, and I think confidence – real, natural confidence – does the same thing.
Trust, rather than suspicion.
Welcoming, rather than guarded.
Giving, rather than hoarding.
Curiosity, rather than certainty.
Smiling, rather than sneering.
Acceptance, rather than separation.
Generosity – giving of who you are no matter how vulnerable it makes you – is woven right through the heart of natural confidence.
Without it, it’s nothing more than arrogance and hubris.
